Stolen from half the f-list on tumbr.
Send me a character name and I’ll tell you:
My first impressions of them.
What I think of their design.
What I think of their role in the story.
What I think of their interactions with other characters.
My favorite aspect of the character overall.
What could have been improved or changed with regards to the character.
My number one wish for this character.
Be prepared for a long blank stare if you ask me about, say, Fiona, though.

Date: 2013-04-24 06:09 pm (UTC)How can this dude have multiple wives who can be Roy's mom? No sense making. Yes, my introduction to Eliwood was in the context of a shipwar, and FE's multiple-choice shipping totally threw me.
What I think of their design.
I like how his Lord incarnation tones down the ridiculous bright hues of Roy's getup and presents a more subdued, sophisticated, and elegant take on that template... with a longer coat. Also his old!version has the long robes, which is neat. He looks good in either event.
What I think of their role in the story.
Certainly his FE6 turn was groundbreaking in that he, ah, didn't die. (Hector took that particular hit.) In his own game... aaaaah, that storyline is such a mess. I don't know. He's definitely the main Lord in that game but the fact that so many people think otherwise just says to me that he wasn't handled especially well. Also, aside from being Roy's Dad I'm not sure why any of that had to happen or did happen or what the real point of any of it was. Why Eliwood of Pherae? IDK. Because.
What I think of their interactions with other characters.
Good. I don't have any problems with his supports or the way he conducts himself generally. He also has a relationship with his mother who is not dead OMG.
My favorite aspect of the character overall.
His coping mechanisms aren't destructive and he can 'fess up to love without being held at gunpoint? Also he has a nice little sense of humor.
What could have been improved or changed with regards to the character.

Maybe being in a less convoluted and messy storyline.
My number one wish for this character.
Please don't kick the bucket before Roy comes home. That would suck.
