'Fic Update: "The Most Exclusive Dive In Town"

 Another joy of essentially managing people is having the dubious honor of being the one to whip out the checkbook for expensive junk like golf outings, pizza for everyone, et cetera.  I don't even want to GO to that golf outing, and who had to shell out the green for it today?  I'll get reimbursed... in a couple of weeks... and in the meantime that was about half my paycheck gone to something that is Right and Proper but not something I am looking forward to in the least.  Meh.

Anyway, some time back (last fe_contest  challege?) I mentioned I was toying with a crack!fic about Ephraim.  This isn't exactly what I was working on then, but it came together in a much cleaner way and managed to incorporate another idea I've been playing with, that of time-traveling Anna and Jake.  Anyway, it's kind of crack!fic with a moral, in that Ephraim needs to ditch the whole "I'm gonna be a mercenary when I grow up" bullcrap and embrace his destiny and all that baggage.  But mostly it was fun to write.  

And hey, Eph made it through an entire 'fic of mine without kicking the bucket.  Drinks all around, boys!

Oh yeah. I think it was the "RNG Goddess Anna" meme that got me hooked on the idea, though the fact that Jake is wandering around in Judgral with memories of Archanea's Linde... who exists in the future of game!Jugdral... opens up all KINDS of possibilities.

This take on them isn't nearly so grandiose.
