 Squeeeeeeeeee.

Full-body art of Luke, Rody, Sirius, and Malice-- does that mean ALL characters have concept art this time?  'Cause Cain and Abel sure didn't get the full-body treatment for FE11.

We see Marth and Athena conversing and we see Wrys talking with My Unit.  Yesterday's news but not unwelcome.

We see Boah talking with Nyna, which is definitely new material because Boah only showed up to make an exposition dump and die in FE3.

We see Marth hanging with some eeeeevil lookin' dude who can only be General Lang.

We see Malliesia, who now sports lavender-colored hair and is not quite as adorable as she used to be, chatting with Marth.  (Someone plz translate what she's saying for me.)

And last but not least we also have an honest-to-pete romantic image of Marth and Caeda embracing on a balcony.  About time!

[Also, freaky black cartoon duck-thing.  The hell?]

Overall, super-cute characters who were suited to the anime style of FE3 look less cute, which the more homely characters get a lot more dignity with the new art style (compare FE3 Wendell with FE11 Wendell).  I kind of miss the old Rody and old Malliesia, but then again I never 100% expected them to be reborn for the DS and I'm happy they are.

While I really did enjoy playing FE11, when you compare all the STUFF that is apparently going into FE12 with the much smaller amount of stuff put into Shadow Dragon, I am experiencing retroactive disappointment.  :(

Oh oh, I think the Boah/Nyna is from the first BS chapter. So more confirmation that they're all going to be included, I hope.

Malliesia's just asking Marth to take her along with them. Yeah, color me disappointed about her design too. They could have at least made her hair less stiff-looking.

And whoohoo Marth/Caeda! (Though creepy eyelessness is creepy.) TBH I'm not really digging the new art style much, though maybe it's just the particular illustrations we've seen so far.

Rody and Luke look older to me. Which I guess is not a bad thing.

LOL @ the... duck.

She looks like a nineteen-eighties middle schooler dropped down in... either Bavaria or the Cotswolds, I'm not sure which. Probably the Cotswolds. Pass the mousse.

The in-game art or the illustration thingies? I kind of like the eyeless ppl for some weird reason. As for the cavaliers, Luke looks suitably jerky and Rody looks pretty damned romantic with that long coat and all.

LOL @ the... duck

The duck almost looks like it was pasted over something as some kind of edit/censorship.

The illustrated in game scenes I guess? The eyelessness wouldn't bother me as much if it were just a one time thing, but it seems like a trend in all the cutscene illustrations we've seen so far... XD The general graphics I can take or leave, it doesn't look THAT much different from Shadow Dragon to me.

Ah, I take a break from games and fandom for a few days to get some work done and all these updates happen. I'm thrilled if a bit behind. ^_^

Malliesia's kind of odd looking. That picture is one of the few that I've seen so far that I really haven't liked much. Why change Malliesia's hair from gray to purple? And the fact that she looks to be about twelve years old kind of leaves me uneasy, although she also looked really young in her original profile picture (But I thought that most of the characters looked unusually young in FE3, unless it was clear that they were old, so I didn't think much of it in that game).

Actual Marth/Caeda stuff. <3 I agree that it's well passed time for that, especially considering that they're supposed to be engaged in Book 2. I hope that this means that there will be some Marth/Caeda development within the game, although I'm assuming that the image there is probably intended for the ending.

I much prefer this design for Rody and Luke to FE3's design for Rody and Luke, but I've just never much liked their old look.

I know what you mean. I still really like Shadow Dragon, but this does make it look kind of lazily done. I'm going to feel a bit cheated if the Shadow Dragon characters lose out on art and development. >_< Still, at least we're getting some of this stuff now. ^_^

Agreed. Most of the characters we've seen are now more plausibly the age to be doing the things they're doing. But Mally still looks veeeeery young. Middle school, for sure.

I hope that this means that there will be some Marth/Caeda development within the game, although I'm assuming that the image there is probably intended for the ending.

I think so, too. It can only represent the very beginning of the game or the ending, anyway. Regardless, I want at least a few of these 300 conversations to take place between them!
