A Meme In Reverse

Took a stab at the ending-sentence meme the rest of y'all are doing and realized a few 'fics in I end things with dark/light imagery waaaaay too often. C'est la vie.
Anyway, how 'bout this: closing sentences to WIPs I would rather like to finish some day?
Strike in the Dark:
"He could see the silent protest in the crease that briefly showed between her brows and wondered why she wasn’t, in some sense, pleased at this turn of events; they were, after all, now equally alone."
Night Game:
"Eliwood let it go. The next batter for the Royals was already making his way to the plate. The game was on, not over."
Safe:
"Raze it to the ground,” he said.
Hector never looked back.
To Freely Serve:
"I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere for a while.” (And they lived happily ever after)
Flare:
"Catria laughed, and she and her pegasus spiraled up and away, into the dazzling light of the sun."
When Mila Walked The Land:
"Perhaps, in the end, the most extraordinary thing is not that divine Mila walked the earth in a pair of red boots but that the astonishing deeds of the Age of Heroes were the day-to-day business of men and women who were all, in the end, merely human."
Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal:
Melissa settled back in her chair.
“Yes, little Cornelia is happy with her new toy and the candy and the flowers. Well, Melissa is happy too.”
Until the Sun Cries Morning:
"Hand in hand, they crossed into the realm that did not acknowledge the boundaries of Blue or Gray, of conquerer and conquered, but only the bonds of friendship and brotherhood."
The last of these being a piece of period-appropriate sentimentalism IMO.

Date: 2013-05-13 10:36 pm (UTC)If I cheated and used the last written thing in a WIP this would've been ten times longer. @_@

I had no idea you had so many super close (to being finished) pieces. @_@ Kind of jelly now.
