FE13: To Chapter 23

Double post because I'm annoyed.
OK. So after all the Paralogue/Xenologue grinding-- and I didn't even do them all, nor did I touch monster battles-- my A-team was ready for Chapter 21. Having two Tricksters is so nice on a level like that! Anyway, after the previous two chapters and some of the more hellish Paralogues, this seemed like no big deal.
Then we get some plot twists (see below) and then we hit Chapter 22.
Dark Warlords. I mean, Deadlords. Fuuuuuck.
OK. I'd been looking forward to this. The Deadlords probably deserve some FE-bruary meta to themselves, but IMO these are not the "same" warlords from FE4 in the least, nor are they the zombiefied corpses of some FE4 Holy Weapon users plus the Hero Weapon users and Tiltyu, which is what I was afraid this version of the Deadlords was intended to be. No, everyone's class is wrong.Falaflame Valflame was never used by a Valkyrie in any Jugdral game we've seen, and Canis (Elf) should've been a shaman in any event. The classes are pretty close to the original Dark Warlords, but not exactly, and they're definitely not zombie versions of the FE4/5 cast. Good.
(Gungnir being used by a non-flier? Bad game! Bad!)
Apart from Chrom getting knocked down to 3 HP by Valflame (LOL), the Deadlords weren't too awful. In between stat boosters, rallies, and the support networks, it was a nice little lure-and-kill. Honestly, I was expecting something horrible and tricksy, like maybe the glowing tiles being random warp tiles that send your units into a death trap. Nope. Maybe on Lunatic?
And then we hit Chapter 23 and finally get to the point of this whole dumb adventure.
It's FE4. Again. No, let me see... centuries of cultists managed to breed a vessel for their dark god, and all these cultists are sacrificing themselves in devotion to the dark god, and they're gonna awaken the fell dragon to do... something to the world. Are you fucking kidding me? I already played that game. Oh, but this time "Julius" and "Sigurd" are bestest buds. Yeah, I guess that's a twist on the pattern. But did they seriously have to go exact same template re: cultists breeding a perfect vessel for their dragon god? OK, this time there wasn't any incest involved, so I guess it's totally different from FE4.
Nope. Not different enough.
I liked it when Lucina was going to kill Robin, though. About time somebody showed some gumption in this game. Too bad Saint Chrom talked her out of it.
Bleh. Going to bed.
PS: Honestly, they should've killed Chrom when Validar stole the Fire Emblem and let Lucina sort it out with Robin thereafter.

Apparently NoA even censored out the fact that Owain and Lucina can marry in FE13-- rather than being listed as Husband and Wife upon S-support, it seems they're called "Companions."
I wonder if FE7 and FE8 would be toned down if released today.
