Mind you, we still don't know what Eltoshan's called.
Actually, we don't know a lot of them. Adean/Aideen/Etain. Midir/Midayle. Tiltyu/Tailto. Briggid/Brigid/Bridget. Tinny/Teeny. Lynn/Leen. Oifey/Oifaye/Aoife. Shanan/Shannon. There's stuff that just seems awkward, like Faval and Corple, and there's the really fun names like Radney and Roddlevan.
It makes revising 'fic interesting because now everything not confirmed seems suspect. Lex could be Rex, for example. Do Noish and Claude keep their ending "e"? And on and on and on.
[My mind now has the running joke that Lester is "Leicester" to make a better pair with his buddy Ulster. Random geographical references, yo.]
Anyway, I've been revising 'fic in hopes that I can get back in the groove and finish some stuff, but I do have to say out of all the new names, "Quan" is the one that makes me wince. Ares, Ced, Lewyn, Raquesis-- yeah, OK, fine. Ulster... whatever dude. But "Quan" seems actively bad to the point that I wish they would've done anything else-- Cian, Quin, Cuan, some random location on a map of the British Isles, anything.
IDK. I got used to "Nyna" and I can get used to this if I practice enough, but I really don't know what they were going for with that one.
