FE4 End Credits Comments / Underwritten Characters

So, the wiki has this to say about Arthur (spelling theirs):

"Arthur may be compared to that of a "frozen flower", whereby he appears to be be cold and unfeeling on the outside, but is, in actuality, a kind and sensitive inidividual on the inside. Arthur is also cool-headed, logical and sharp in his responses to quips made towards him."

I don't know what poetic soul wrote that passage, but I think I'd like Arthur a lot if I got all this from the text of the actual game.  I mean, you can kind of get that if you squint and add a little... artistic fancy... but I'm not really seeing it or feeling it.  He's just kind of sketchy and underwritten; you can make him the logical icebox on the grounds that there aren't many candidates for it otherwise among the kiddie generation (or... at all), but I think it's kind of a reach.  Soren he ain't.  I'd say it's another reason to want a remake except that after "LOL CANDY," "LOL EXERCISE," and "LOL SMALL BREASTS" I have no faith whatsoever that IS can take the flaws of characterization in FE4 and improve upon any of it.  Instead of flat characters with a few brief dialogues, we'd get flat characters with pages and pages of unrevealing supports.  Meh.

Been meaning to do this for some time, and when better than Labor Day Weekend to screw around?  In celebration of completing FE4, I've reread some old 'fics I liked before playing the game, and went and read some I could never get into before.  Also made myself re-read some stuff I didn't like for a baseline yes/no reaction.
