 "Thank God for tsunami" chick?

Total troll.

Now, how about visiting some of that outrage on Glen Beck and Pat Robertson, who preach that same brand of dreck to an audience that believes it and pays money for it?

Now I know I'm under too much work stress/life stress.  Have an outbreak of sores in my mouth plus my dreams have been weird.  Weird.  Last night, the dream was that my husband talked me into running for mayor of the city we live in, and I won, and then I was reading the local newspaper and seeing hate letters about myself, caricatures of myself in the cartoon section, negative comparisons to Sarah Palin in the editorials, and so on.  Ugh.

It was so real that when I woke up I had to reassure myself that none of this actually happened.

I decided to retool part of "Asylum" following the tsunami and its aftereffects.  The trigger in Chapter Five wasn't objectively bad, just a reference to a breached levee and some flooding, but I decided it simply wasn't necessary.  Once I deleted that part and the bits that led up to it, I was able to reshape and finish Chapter Four.

This story really isn't meant as an AU.  It is intended to take place in between FE11 and FE12, and the "modern" feel of the world is, I think, justifiable in light of the bizarreness of FE12 overall.  I think of the world here as vaguely British, somewhere between "our" 1680 and 1880 except without a real Industrial Revolution.  The FE1 manga was a considerable influence here, as the look of Archanea there IMO owed a lot to France from Louis XIV to Napoleon I.  I mean, seriously, Abel was reading a newspaper in one scene!
