Weekend Update
May. 26th, 2012 08:57 pmSo, I saw some recently posted Sety/Arthur fanart over on tumblr, and my initial reaction was, "Oh, meh. The Silesian kids and the Freege kids again." Then I realized I actually prefer Sety/Arthur to either Arthur/Fee or Sety/Tinny. Arthur'd make a lovely Queen of Silesia, wouldn't he?
For those of you following the Oosawa FE4 manga, it's been updated in recent weeks.
Well, we're still in Silesia. And we're still sorting through Levin's love life, with Sylvia, Fury, and the now-dead Mahnya all still in play thanks to poor communication. This demonstrates my primary problem with this particular manga-- everything takes so damn long to move forward. This installment does have a nice little scene between Briggid and Sigurd (remember him? the alleged main character?) that gets back to the whole screwed-up families & revenge aspect (re: Andrey). So that was good. But this installment overall asked me to care far more about Pamela than I've ever wanted to. I like the main Silesian characters, but I'm not enthralled by their politics. Can we get back to the main plot soon?
Meanwhile, the Lachesis subplot has turned into Seventeen and Pregnant: Jugdral Edition. Now, this was obviously coming, but I was surprised at how icky I felt about it. I guess even if you are a spunky princess, there's no glamour in being a knocked-up single teenager whose boyfriend already skipped town. And it's not like any of this is going to go well; sure, Delmud turns out all right-- no thanks to either of his parents. So... :/
ETA: Oh yeah, there's more of Azel's muddled personal life, too, including one scene wherein he and Lex are so close that Ayra starts doubting her husband's sexuality.
I hope the Fujimori one gets updated before too much longer.
