Yeah. I see it as George first propping Nyna up as her loyal knight (and he's the heir to a major noble house, too-- gotta have some clout on name alone), then going "oh shit" when she gloms onto him as her latest idealized savior, then realizing Nyna's grown up and it's for real this time...
And they live happily ever after? Maybe?
He'd be a great king... but he pretty obviously doesn't want to be. But as a power behind the throne? Yeah. George rocks.
