FE12: Day Zero
Jul. 15th, 2010 06:44 pmYeah, I think the initial reception has been a million times better than the one granted FE11. On the other hand, any comment on the old game buried under the new shiny things has been mostly swallowed up, though one SerenesForest poster indicated that Palla was still a "killing machine." Maybe IS knocked it out of the park with this one. I sure hope so.
Now, for more super-spoilery weapon geeking, seeing as I am not playing it yet.
Lances include wacky shit like "Laundry Pole" and "Flycatch," though Rody, Draug, and Camus (!) all have specific lances. Gee, I wonder if Sirius can use the Camus Lance? (OTOH, maybe it's only for the BS chapters.)
Axe-wise, you can beat up on enemies with a Frying Pan. Cord/Bord and Barst have specific axes, as does this Roro dude. Also... Tomahawks?
In the bow department, Gordin and Ryan have special bows (but not Norne) and there is something called "Kleine's bow." I don't know if that applies to that blonde chickie that people confused with Sheema or if it's a reference to Klein from FE6.
As for tomes, Aura and Excalibur work the way they do in FE11, but Merric does have his own personal tome, as does Katarina. We now have "Nurufire" and "Yurublizzard" and Resire is being called Nosferatu here, apparently.

Date: 2010-07-16 02:19 am (UTC)Yeah that's her, she's a bow-user. Seems no one can decide on a good romanization for her name -- iirc FE6 Klein rhymes with cane while her name rhymes with pine though, so I'm inclined to spell it differently.
Nosferatu is still called Resire in game -- I swear Linde is carrying one that I just saw -- I think Serenes Forest renamed it for consistency with American releases maybe? I have yet to see any of the weirder weapons though, so we'll see. XD
Yeah just checked, it's Resire.
