The "inner life" test makes a great deal of sense to me -- perhaps not so much as an objective test, but certainly as a descriptor of how well I feel I can understand a character.
Like two or three years ago when we first spoke, I believe I was rambling about understanding Soren Very Well, and Ike well enough to make do when his psychology ain't the point. This is pretty much what I was trying to get at.
As for the kids, I don't have much to add other than that I generally agree, and I'm looking forward to the girls.
