NP, you asked about one of the few I'll happily geek about.

Stahl.

My first impressions of them.

Well, he's quite obviously the New Green Cavalier. I was more excited about Sully TBH because she broke the glass ceiling on that archetype. And art of him yawning didn't help much. But his support conversation with Cordelia were one of the very first things I read in the fan-translation that didn't seem to SUCK and I was favorably disposed toward him for it.

What I think of their design.

I continue to loathe the entire FE13 aesthetic from toilet bowl armor to witch hats to Lissa's ridiculous partial skirt. Of Stahl's design I can only say it is less objectionable than most.

What I think of their role in the story.

Green cavs don't usually get a meaty role and Stahl is no different there. You pair him and he chats with his wife and with his kid(s). And with the Avatar. And with some other people here and there. No real "role," just a chain of supports.

What I think of their interactions with other characters.

He and Sully are so damn perfect together. @_@

His supports with Cordelia don't suck.

In spite of his eating-and-sleeping quirks he seems delightfully well-rounded. I have not read a single support of his to which I've objected, exception arguably the generic Severa conversation, which is Severa's fault. He just seems low-key, even-keeled, balanced. He seems the rare FE character who'd make a decent husband in real life!

[NO desire to "marry him" via MU, though.]

My favorite aspect of the character overall.

He's willing to improve himself, but not in a neurotic, obnoxious OTT way. He realizes that there are things he can do better on and he sets out to correct them.

What could have been improved or changed with regards to the character.

I wanted and expected a senior knight/junior knight chat with Frederick. WTF.

(I was amused he got to talk to Finn in the DLC, though... not that those were deep conversations.)

My number one wish for this character.

Er...

IDK. All the FE13 Gen 1 characters pretty much get their shit sorted and live happily ever after, don't they? The plot mechanics dictate happy marriages and adorable kidlets all around in the golden age of Chrom the Dumbass. I guess that he and Mrs. Stahl (Sully or Cordy, take yer pick) live a long and happy life together and their new baby doesn't turn out as screwy as the alpha-timeline kid.
