FE4 Log, Chapter 2 Continued
Jun. 13th, 2012 09:01 amOK. Finally recruited Ayra (or Aira, as she's now called) last night after two messy attempts. What a PITA she is. I hope she's worth it; usually I find myrmidon types to be irritating to raise. The Shooting Star skill may make up for it.
Anyway, now that I have Aira/Ayra/Ira and Aideen/Adean/Edenn in my my party, it's time to start on the ever-fun FE4 Eugenics Program. I've drawn up four lists of planned pairings, one for each save slot, and I'll get cracking this playthrough on the path-of-least-resistance conventional sort of pairings. Once I've played through Gen 2 with the "ideal" progeny, then I'll have some fun with the kids... or, rather, with their parents.
Midway through Chapter 2, Azel has been useful in dealing with Kinbois and such, Ardan's been effective in containing the locals, Ethlin's had two crap level-ups, Lex has been a slight disappointment, Midir's been a good shot in spite of his fragility, Alec&Noish are doing a fine job, Cuan's been more useful for his movement than for killing things, and Finn basically soloed Gandolf's entire crew, getting nearly to Lvl 10 in the process. I was using him as a distraction to take the attention away from Aideen, Dew, and Cuan (who'd gotten himself wounded saving that second village), and every numbskull in the vicinity took the bait and decided to suicide on his lance.
Well, the first thing I did upon getting the Return staff was send him back to home base to get his lance repaired. That also gave everyone else a chance to level up against the last group of "barbarians." Hopefully now that Lex has his Hero Axe he'll be more useful.
I had the notion I might get this chapter wrapped up on my lunch break. Nope. Hmm... it's dinnertime now.
That Silence staff was pretty nifty.
