Well, the first thing I grabbed was A Man For All Seasons, because my most excellent and erudite spouse left his copy at my desk this morning. Useful for settling family arguments, that one is. But his copy of it runs a scant 94 pages, so here's the second try.
"The Ring nebula's inner dimensions are about half the outer ones. It is known from the spectrum lines that M57 is slowly expanding. The central star is a difficult object visually, and magnitude estimates disagree."
