Ammie and I were actually flailing over how nice his design is the other day, too :D;

It's a very nice design, especially for Judgral, the land of More is More. Nice and simple and low-key and yet memorable.
Aside: I suspect Kaga and crew had a soft spot for Finn for some reason. In between all the hell he's put through, the fact they keep him alive, plus bringing him back for Thracia and writing the Fall of Lenster story... kinda screams "creator's pet."
