I lurked in HP fandom for the theories! Even the crazy ones. For me it was more fun to read than fanfic -- most of which seemed to veer even further from canon than even the weirdest meta (at least the meta coming from the dedicated theorist crowd), and I wasn't enamored enough with the series/characters to enjoy that.
And then Deathly Hallows happened. And then it was not so fun. Heh.
Basically, word.
(I adore the thought of political!Roy. Hmmm. Hmmmm.)
