Oh, would this be that Rinoa is Ultimecia theory? I definitely remember that... thought it was interesting except 1) I hate time travel used as a key plot element in general 2) saw a lot of people actually using it to bash Rinoa or justify their dislike for her. I mean, haha, what. FF fandom. -_- FF fandom (for VII and VIII, which is what I was most familiar with at the time) was really a lot like the video game equivalent of Harry Potter, which is why I stayed away from it.
