Awright.  Having processed the shock and dismissed some of the crazier rumors flying (I don't think this is set in Magvel, guys.  Really.), I am feeling very excited about FE13 now.  Though I have hopes for some connection to Valencia, I'm not going to be getting those hopes very high.

I do think it's coming out overseas, though.  The 3DS needs first-party titles, badly.

It helps to believe that moe-moe pigtail girl is the little sister and not a secondary Lord or the love interest.  I can't take her seriously.

Also?  The Prince of Eris or whatever has not dethroned Ephraim of his status as Sexiest Male FE Lord Ever.  Nope.  Looks too much like Sigurd, man.  That jawline.

Oh, and I bet he's going to be in SSB4, too.  Because we totally needed another blue-haired dude with a sword in that game.  Now I'm starting to think Ike is gonna be cut from the roster.

Maybe I'm missing something. I don't find him especially attractive at all. Something about that exposed arm, I dunno.

My initial reaction to Krom/Chrome/Whatever was "FUGLY," but compared with his sister, I guess he's OK. Arguably the least attractive Lord ever, IMO. And I am taking FE1!Marth into account, here.

Also, for what it's worth, I think Krom is reasonably attractive. Never found any of the FE lords to be mightily physically attractive, though. My thing with Ike was really a byproduct of working with Soren too damn much.

The only thing Ike has going for him is that he was in the starting roster. Otherwise? He's old news, his games didn't sell in the home market, and Krom looks to be occupying his niche.

I'm tempted to start a betting pool re: SSB4, as I know where my skittles are being wagered now.

I thought Ike was pretty hot in SSBB. I was disappointed by his actual FE incarnations. If we're talking actual FE, the main contenders IMO are Ephraim and FE12!Marth-from-the-CGs-with-the-sexy-arms. Sigurd's awfully nice in fanart, but his official portrait sucks.

And the rest are, like, little boys. I'm too old for that stuff.

I am a big fan of Ike's Japanese voice. Mmm. Japanese!Ike is charming albeit culturally stereotyped. English!Ike is rather inconsistent and occasionally invokes a very 1950s flavor. I~fight~for~my~friends! Derp derp, I like Ike.

The thing that gets me about said Prince of Eris is that he... really doesn't look like a prince--or nobility of any sort, really. All the other FE lords (with, of course, the exception of our favorite mercenary) looked decidedly "noble", but Chrome or Krom or whatever his name is doesn't look like a noble at all. Maybe it'll be different in SSB4 and he'll be gorgeous and all the fangirls will fawn over him but. I don't know.

No, he doesn't look like a prince, but there might be a storyline reason for it. Maybe he's the usual exiled prince, but this time he *gasp!* is leading his little band around in plain clothes and not wearing enough gold to feed a village for a year.

Or maybe we're just watching early "demo versions" that will all be polished into something that makes sense come spring of '12. I hope.

I can't take his sister seriously though. Not with that hair style. Or the fact that she's blonde and he has blue hair and I am now trying to do actual genetics things to figure this stuff out. Because I tend to over-think everything for a VIDEO GAME.

Appearance that caters to moe-maid fans? Check. The character herself (supposedly) complaining about travelling conditions in one of the screenshots? Check. Way to appeal to the 18-45 male demographic while completely alienating the female fans... (I think every female FE fan I know of has made a point of commenting on how horrible her design is, LOL.)

To be fair, I'm still looking forward to this game; the new game mechanics look interesting, and I actually find the rest of the character designs to be fine (even if they are a great departure from the past games).

I resent the implications of this, as I fall within the terms of the demographic mentioned. You should have said 'moe demographic'. :P
