Personal FE Playlist Selections

Kinda based off this meme, as swiped from [livejournal.com profile] raphiael and [livejournal.com profile] amielleon.  But, as my favorite pairings are, shall we say, not terribly popular, here are some songs from my mental FE soundtrack.

FE8:
"Brothers In Arms" and "Ride Across the River" by Dire Straits.  Both from this album.  I associate them with the knights of Renais.
"Let It All Go" by Mark Knopfler makes me think specifically of Forde.

FE9/10:
"Rooks" by Shearwater.  Just in general.

Overall/Mashup:
"Give it Away" by James.
For darkfic purposes, how about "Resignation Superman" by Big Head Todd and the Monsters? I guess it kinda fits best for post FE10 Ike, but I don't spend a great deal of time contemplating him.

FE1/3/11/12:
Oh, hell, we'd be here all night.  I'll just leave you romantics with one for all the characters who get the wrong end of a love triangle in Archanea:
"Long, Long Time" by Linda Rondstadt
amielleon: The three heroes of Tellius. (Default)

Rooks is wonderful. Love it.

Shearwater is an awesome band. :D I am always torn between whether I like their older or newer stuff better, but I think Palo Santo is my favorite album of theirs. Rook is lovely too though. :3

I think as an album, The Golden Archipelago edges out Palo Santo by a hair. I don't care for Rook nearly as much, though it's my husband's favorite. I love some songs on Rook, but I never really WANT to hear "South Col," you know?

I will say this-- I think their upcoming album, which I have heard, is going to be my favorite album of theirs as an album even though I don't love the individual songs quite as much as I love "White Waves" or "Rooks" or "Uniforms," if that makes sense.

I love it that there's a rock band out there still making proper albums, too.
