Hey, Kanthia!

Basically, her excuse is that she memorized my fic and regurgitated it, basically word-for-word, three years later because it was omg that good.

Professional plagiarists use that exact same excuse. Sounds like this kid is going to be another Ruth Shalit when she grows up. It's funny, because I do have an extremely good visual memory, and I am constantly afraid of doing just that-- "internalizing" something and regurgitating it years or months later. So when I see someone using that as excuse, I feel really weird about it.

Hopefully it'll all get sorted out in the end...I'm hoping she comes away from this a little red-faced and we both move on with our lives.

Let's hope so. She probably figured that "Despair" was so old (2006, right?) that there was little chance anyone would come around and find her. Bad idea-- there is nowhere to hide on the intarwebz. But, since you've got your closure out of it (and seem to have handled this pretty gracefully), I will not waste any more of my brain activity on the matter.

It also did irk me that she was getting compliments from her own little fanclub because "Jealousy" was so much better than her previous works and hinted at some hidden well of talent. But, eh. Fandom popularity is fleeting, crapfic endures.

THAT BEING SAID, you are straight up awesome. Do you mind if I add you?

Aw, hey. Just doin' my job, as they say. But sure, go ahead! :)
