Heh. Well, that's probably how I feel trying to read your (or anyone's 9/10 'fics). I do keep pretty detailed Author's Notes over at my explaining all the cross-references and stuff.

Everyone loves happy endings.

Well, that kind of depends on what you mean by "happy ending." I think "Homecomings" had a happy ending, on its own terms. I don't like a happy ending if it doesn't feel earned, just like I don't care for "tragedy" that doesn't feel earned. I really hate redemption narratives when they don't seem merited.

And I have just about declared war on fluff.
